Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the needs of students with SEMH

Develop meaningful relationships with students to support emotional development

Work closely with support staff and senior leaders to maintain a safe, consistent environment

Track and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly

Participate in professional development and whole-school improvement initiatives

Lead a classroom with clear boundaries, high expectations, and empathy

Support pupils\’ reintegration and future pathways

Qualifications and Experience

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)

Experience working with SEMH or complex SEND learners

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Understanding of trauma-informed and restorative approaches

Ability to build trust and motivate disengaged learners

Flexible and creative teaching style

A commitment to inclusion and personalised learning
