Purpose of the Job • To deliver mechanical maintenance across a large, busy site, ensuring all plant and systems operate safely and efficiently. • To carry out both reactive maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), with a strong focus on plant room operations and compliance. • To support site uptime while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship. Key Responsibilities • Carry out reactive maintenance, forming the majority of day-to-day duties due to site size and activity levels. • Complete PPMs and servicing across a wide range of mechanical systems. • Perform in-depth plant room maintenance, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably. • Maintain and service calorifiers, including temperature checks and compliance tasks. • Carry out AHU cleaning and maintenance. • Support legionella prevention tasks in line with site procedures. • Carry out belt changes on motors and associated mechanical repairs. • Service and maintain TMVs and pressurisation units. • Accurately complete maintenance logs, reports, and compliance documentation. • Work safely in line with health & safety regulations and site procedures. • Support overtime requirements when required. • Participate in ongoing training and development for career progression. Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills • Strong mechanical background within commercial, industrial, or critical environments. • Proven experience working on plant rooms and mechanical building services systems. • Knowledge of legionella control and water hygiene practices. • Ability to fault-find and work effectively in a reactive environment. • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Willingness to develop skills through training and progression opportunities.
