Process Engineer

Hybrid (West London) GBP45K GBP55K + Equity + Benefits

We re hiring on behalf of an innovative clean energy start-up developing novel electrolyser technology. As they scale from demonstrator to commercial systems, they re looking for a Process Engineer to support the design, safety, and performance of their systems.

What you ll be doing:

  • Develop process flowsheets (PFDs), P&IDs, and mass/energy balances

  • Design and size equipment, valves, and instrumentation

  • Contribute to safety and risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA)

  • Support procurement, commissioning, and troubleshooting

  • Work closely with partners, vendors, and internal tech teams

  • Help scale systems from lab to pilot and commercial levels

What we re looking for:

  • Master s degree (or above) in Chemical/Process Engineering

  • 3+ years in process design (hydrogen, chemical, nuclear, or similar sectors)

  • Strong safety focus and systems-level thinking

  • Proactive mindset with excellent communication skills

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with hydrogen, water electrolysis, or supercritical water

  • Familiarity with Aspen, HYSYS, Unisim or CFD tools

  • Chartered status or working towards it
