Are you detail-oriented, financially savvy, and passionate about supporting services that make a difference? We’re looking for a dedicated Contracts Finance and System Officer to join our team and ensure the smooth financial administration of adult social care services.

In this vital role, you’ll manage care package activations, process timely payments to a range of care providers, and generate accurate invoices for adult social care clients. You’ll be responsible for maintaining individual data records, administering contract and payment schedules for residential care, and ensuring all information reflects the services delivered.

You’ll also investigate and resolve complex queries from service users and providers, using your analytical skills and initiative to gather and interpret information from multiple systems. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with colleagues across Adult Social Care, Commissioning, Financial Assessments, and Accounts Receivable to support the financial wellbeing of vulnerable clients.

If you\’re ready to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes and thrive in a role that combines finance, systems, and care, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note this role does not attract sponsorship.

About You

We’re seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Contracts Finance and System Officer to join our team supporting the financial processes that underpin adult social care services. This role is ideal for someone with strong IT, analytical, and communication skills, looking to make a meaningful impact in a public sector setting.

You’ll use your advanced IT skills to work across multiple databases such as LAS and ContrOCC, extract and analyse data, and support the maintenance and monitoring of financial systems. Experience with Microsoft Office, data interpretation, and software testing is key, as is a solid understanding of how financial systems interact.

Excellent communication is central to the role. You’ll liaise with care providers, internal teams, and vulnerable clients, often discussing complex financial matters. You must be confident drafting professional letters, offering guidance aligned with financial regulations, and handling sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.

With your strong organisational abilities, you\’ll manage your own workload effectively, meeting tight and conflicting deadlines, and supporting your team during busy periods. Your numeracy skills will be essential as you calculate complex care packages and resolve contribution queries with accuracy and attention to detail.

You’ll be expected to problem-solve confidently, work within legislative frameworks such as the Care Act 2014, and contribute to fair, inclusive service delivery. Knowledge of equality principles and the ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English is essential.

The role requires either an NVQ in finance/administration or equivalent experience. Occasional local travel and an enhanced DBS clearance are also required.

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.

If you’re ready to bring your expertise into a rewarding environment where your work supports vulnerable adults and improves service outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
