This organisation is dedicated to ensuring compliance and safety through outstanding fire compartmentation and passive fire protection solutions. As a Compartmentation/Pre-Construction Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in conducting detailed inspections and surveys, supporting the company’s mission to protect lives and property. Key Responsibilities: * Door Inspections: Conduct planned inspections of fire doors, some requiring FDIS certification. * Door Surveys: Perform one-off assessments to evaluate door conditions and compliance. * Compartment Surveys: Identify and document compartmentation line issues in buildings. * Survey Oversight: Manage surveys for remedial works, including: * Understanding compartmentation lines and fire ratings (with or without drawings). * Conducting destructive testing and identifying faults. * Developing detailed solutions, including remedial actions, materials specifications, and time estimates. * Quotation Validation: Review and validate quotations to ensure accuracy and address all areas identified during surveys. Ideal Candidate Profile: * Strong communication skills to articulate technical findings to clients. * Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required. * IT proficiency, particularly with tablet-based survey tools. * Attention to detail and expertise in firestopping practices. * Commercial awareness to support valuation processes and client discussions. * Proactive approach to problem-solving, including referencing relevant fire safety regulations. * Commitment to continuous professional development. * Confidence in working autonomously and representing the company professionally.
