Job Title: General Teaching Assistant (TA) – Year 6 & EYFS Location: Solihull Position: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, depending on experience We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a school in Solihull – This exciting role will see you working predominantly with Year 6 students, while also supporting our youngest learners in EYFS for one day a week. Key Responsibilities: Support Year 6 pupils with their learning, both in class and in small groups or one-to-one interventions. Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 6 students. Provide support to EYFS children for one day each week, helping them develop foundational skills in a playful and creative environment. Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning atmosphere across both key stages. Support the social, emotional, and academic development of all children. Monitor and track children\’s progress, providing feedback to the class teacher. Assist with classroom management and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students. Key Requirements: Experience working with children in a primary school setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children of various ages and abilities. A positive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children\’s learning and development. Team player, working closely with teaching staff to deliver an exceptional learning experience. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable: Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification). Experience working with children in both EYFS and Key Stage 2. Knowledge of the primary curriculum and how to support pupils in achieving their best.
