Job Description
Industrial Designer – Medical Devices\\nRole Overview\\nWe are seeking an Industrial Designer to contribute to the development of new products and enhancements to existing solutions within our laparoscopic visualisation platform. This role involves both creative problem-solving and technical development, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * Generate innovative, high-level design concepts to tackle complex challenges.\\n * Develop rapid prototypes (in-house where feasible).\\n * Conduct hands-on testing to evaluate design performance.\\n * Advance designs from initial concepts to fully developed products.\\n * Prepare technical reports for regulatory documentation.\\n * Plan and manage individual project timelines, contributing to R&D strategy.\\n * Collaborate with management on intellectual property development.\\n * Work alongside corporate partners, as directed by executive leadership.\\nCandidate Requirements\\nEssential Criteria:\\n * A first-class or upper second-class degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or biomedical engineering.\\n * Proven creative problem-solving skills.\\n * At least two years' experience in medical device design, working within an ISO13485-compliant environment, including experience with design control and verification & validation documentation.\\nDesirable Skills & Experience:\\n * Advanced CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks preferred).\\n * Hands-on experience with physical prototyping and development testing.\\n * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints.\\n * Experience in moulded component design, ideally with basic mould flow analysis.\\n * Strong project planning and time management skills.\\n * Excellent presentation and communication abilities, particularly in conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\\n * Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.\\n * Quick to learn new skills with minimal supervision.\\n * Strong technical report writing and proficiency in MS Office
