The Opportunity
Our client is one of the few truly integrated engineering departments in the world. Its breadth and scale bring unique advantages, and its research portfolio develops pinnacles of world-class excellence. The role of a Security Officer is highly respected and will become part of the core security team.
You will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, and be an integral part of the security team.
Your duties include (but are not limited to):
- Control access and egress, verifying authorization of individuals entering the premises
- Initial lock-up patrol and full lock-up at the end of shift
- Conduct routine patrols to identify and report security risks or incidents
- Responding to and investigating fire and intruder alarms if safe to do so
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports of security-related activities
Full in-house training will be provided.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Valid SIA Licence
- Right to work in the UK and a five-year checkable history
- Punctual and reliable
- Passionate about creating an exceptional customer experience
- Knowledge of MS Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly intuitive with a curious mindset
- Highly presentable in line with our corporate brand
