Surface Finishing Technician ā Anodising Do you have experience in handling highly valuable and complex articles through rigorous chemical processes? Join adynamic team as a Surface Finishing Technician ā Anodizing, where your skills will be valued and your contributions recognized.Location / HoursLocation: UxbridgeHours: Full-time, standard day shift, Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 5:30pmKey ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations: Collaborate with the Production Manager to meet daily tasks and schedules.Inspection: Perform brief inspections of fixtured parts to ensure secure attachment and no damage before processing.Quantities Verification: Confirm quantities against paperwork and route cards provided.Chemical Anodising: Execute the chemical anodising process according to process specifications and customer requirements.Quality Assurance: Visually inspect processed articles to ensure a high-quality finish and promptly raise concerns with the Production Manager.Post-Processing: Move processed articles to the Inspection section and communicate accordingly.Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of chemical solutions and equipment, including addition of undiluted acids/alkalis and pumping out exhausted rinse tanks weekly.Calibration: Ensure all equipment is calibrated and within working parameters as per process specifications.Health & Safety Compliance: Complete work in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, maintaining a safe working environment.Training: Occasionally train personnel to ensure uniformity across the Surface Finishing section.COSHH Regulations: Adhere to COSHH regulations, using and storing Personal Protective Equipment and hazardous chemicals properly.Additional Duties: Undertake reasonable additional duties as instructed by Senior Management.Personal Characteristics & SkillsTechnically minded with the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.Methodical approach with the ability to carry out several processes simultaneously.Keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.Customer-focused with a positive attitude.Willing to learn new skills and adapt to the Company\’s vision and goals.Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated.Ability to work accurately under rigid time constraints.Physically fit, able to lift items up to 25kg.Good communication skills, capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.Experience & QualificationsDesirable Experience:Metal Finishing and Engineering background.Previous experience in a factory environment.BenefitsHoliday – 20 days plus 8 bank holidays Overtime – Paid at time and a third Company Bonus Scheme – Paid in November (Subject to company performance and personal appraisals) Death in Service – 3x Annual SalaryApplication ProcessWe aim to respond to all applicants within 5 working days.
