SEND Tribunal & Mediation Officer London, Fully remote 6 month contract £380-£400 per day, Inside IR35 CV’s are being reviewed ASAP and Teams interviews will be taking place on the 13th and 14th of August. In order to be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record working as a Tribunal & Mediation Officer within a local authority setting, along with recent experience of appeal management from start to finish covering whole resolutions and a good knowledge of SEN/D & the SEND Code of Practice whilst you won’t be required to represent at hearings. The role of the SEND Tribunal & Mediation Officer is to represent the Council in Tribunal appeals. Responsibilities will include:- Overseeing Mediations and appeals Drafting the LA’s response to appeals Managing a caseload of around 35-40 Preparing and collating evidence Liaising with witnessesThe role of SEND Tribunal Officer will also include liaison and advice with locality SENAR teams and in this role, you will be supported by business support officers who will do all the bundles.
