We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team at our famous Cookery School in Padstow, Cornwall. You will be working 4 days a week – usually Wednesday to Saturday with 1 -2 evenings a week on average, occasionally other days may be required but are planned in advance.

Our Story
Rick and Jill Stein started our family run business back in 1975, and today we employ over 600 happy staff. The business has grown from the first flagship Seafood Restaurant in Padstow to 10 restaurants across the south of England, plus hotel rooms, cookery school, shops and an online shop. Rick and Jill are still heavily involved in the business, as are their three sons Ed, Jack and Charlie.

Good to know…
- Parking – there is plenty of free parking available in Padstow.
- Travel to work – Padstow is on the bus route from Bodmin, Wadebridge and Newquay with regular buses throughout the day.
- You can cycle safely to work from Bodmin and Wadebridge to Padstow along the Camel Trail.
- Uniform- We provide our kitchen teams with chef whites.

From our Cookery School right through to our maintenance department; our support teams ensure our guests have wonderful experiences with us. Our admin and operational support teams play a key part in the smooth running of the business; joining all the dots and planning ahead. At Rick Stein\’s Cookery School looking after customers is what we do best. We love going the extra mile and we take pride in doing the right things in the right way. We offer fish and shellfish demonstrations by our team of Chef Lecturers as well as hands on cooking sessions which range from half day workshops to 4 day long courses. It\’s not all about seafood as we do lots of other interesting day courses. Indian Seafood, Far Eastern, Italian, Mexican and of course fish and shellfish to name a few, plus some wonderful patisserie sessions.
