General working hours are 40‑48 hours per week. While shifts typically occur during the day, you may also be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and on-call rotations. You may need to work away from the depot if a company van is required.
About Us
Chevron Traffic Management ensures road workers and users stay safe during roadworks by setting up temporary road closures, diversion routes, and pedestrian walkways. We handle everything from cones and signage to traffic lights and barriers, visible nationwide. We consult, plan, design and collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure effective schemes, using innovation and technology to enhance safety and reduce our carbon footprint. Your Role As a 12d Traffic Management Operative
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Conduct traffic counts, gathering essential data and coordinating with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain temporary traffic lights for safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Deploy, maintain and remove temporary traffic management equipment, including:
- Cones
- Signs
- Frames
- Sandbags
- Other essential equipment
- Mentor new trainees, sharing knowledge and guiding them as they learn the ropes.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: Minimum M1/M2, SLG Unit 2 considered.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
- Driving licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points; any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago.
- Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results).
- Attitude: Positive, can‑do mindset.
- Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility: Able to work weekends, nights and away if required.
- Training: Traffic Management Training subject to signing a training agreement.
- Welcome bonus and Maternity & Paternity payments – T&C apply.
