Overview
We seek an experienced machine operator for a busy automated manufacturing facility. Previous experience operating production machinery and the ability to follow machine instructions would be beneficial, although full training will be provided. This is a temporary role but there is a possibility for a permanent role in 12 weeks. The role involves learning the machine and elements of maintenance CAD-CAM, and using a PC to update stock and job details. The client is looking for a temporary-to-permanent arrangement as training typically lasts a couple of months to reach full capability.
Hours
Mon-Fri; 2 weekly rota; 6:00am – 14:30pm or 14:00pm – 22:30pm (8 hour day with ½ hour lunch and 2 x 10 minute breaks). You must be able to rotate shifts.

Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery in a busy automated manufacturing environment.
- Ensure the machine is topped up with raw materials (up to about 20 kg per bag; replenishment may occur as often as every 3 hours).
- Perform quality checks on produced items.
- Use basic maths to perform simple calculations related to production and materials.
- Keep stock and job details updated on a PC.
- Work in a physical role with movement required and some heavy lifting; safety boots are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to follow machine instructions and willingness to learn machine maintenance concepts (CAD-CAM).
- Comfort with using a PC to update stock and job details.
- Good basic maths for production calculations.
- Physical stamina for movement and occasional heavy lifting; safety boots required.
