Our Estates Services – Facilities Management (FM) department provides essential services that keep the University running smoothly. The University Print Studio sits within FM Support Services, producing high-quality print work, including publications, posters, and marketing materials, for departments, colleges, and external clients. About the Role
As a Print Studio Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering the University’s print and finishing services. Acting as the first point of contact for customers, you’ll guide them through the production process, offering advice and ensuring their work is completed to a high standard and on time. You’ll take ownership of print orders – managing enquiries, supporting the team in preparing and producing print jobs, updating systems, invoicing, and liaising with suppliers and colleagues across the University. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll combine customer service, administrative support, and technical workshop tasks (with training provided) – all within a friendly and collaborative team.
About You
- Experienced in delivering excellent customer service
- Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and able to pick up new software and processes quickly.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfortable working with large printing and finishing equipment (training will be provided) and happy to be hands-on in a workshop environment. There is an element of lifting involved in daily tasks.
- A team player with a positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to high standards of service.
