The successful candidates will be fully briefed on the work and their part in it.They will have daily contact with the company directors, and the opportunity for progression.Time and money will be provided for personal development and training.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the company going forward, in work and in its wider environment.Essential Skills and QualitiesTeam PlayerWindows Server 2016+ administration.RedHat OpenshiftEUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching and hardening.SSO â concepts and operation.Understanding of working in protectively marked environments.VMwareNetworkingAutomation (scripting ansible/powershell)Must hold DVKubernetes administration e.g. VMware TKGIVMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF.DevSecOps ToolingElasticNessusApplication PackagingHashiCorp TerraformHashiCorp VaultExperience working in Agile sprintsResponsibilities likely to include:Maintain, improve, and secure SiXworksâ multi-classification, virtualised, collaboration and development environments.Lead ubuntu upgrade and optimisation activity across our range of development and live environments, including enhancing the linus skills and experience of junior team members.Work with IT infrastructure colleagues to improve SiXworksâ âSecure by Designâ capabilities, internally and across its projects.Provide Infrastructure support to SiXworksâ public cloud SaaS offerings (Office 365) as well as project-based systems (public, private and hybrid clouds) in implementation and support lifecycles.Support Elastic upgrade and optimisation activity.Perform maintenance tasks on the infrastructure through change control.Assist with monitoring and management of SiXworksâ and project-based ticketing and alerting systems for new changes and security alerts.Triage monitoring alerts and perform appropriate action.Maintain monitoring components in line with infrastructure developments.Ensure all platforms are patched in line with provider recommendations and SiXworks security policy.Quickly and accurately assess impact of incidents, initiate return to service and ensure follow up actions are completed.Identify trends and problems and plan changes to improve stability and performance.Maintain cutting edge knowledge and skills in the design and build of secure public, private, and hybrid cloud and network technologies.Develop personal knowledge through study/research toward vocational certifications in relevant technologies/vendors.Advise customers and project teams on infrastructure and support aspects.Cascade knowledge through knowledge articles for the team and wider organisation.Support the SiXworks team in winning business.Our SiXworks team is a fusion of brilliance, featuring senior operational, technical, and business leaders from various industries and the armed forces.We\’re also powered by a league of extraordinary IT engineers, architects, developers, and project managers.
