Test Technician / Manufacturing / West Lothian
My client is a global engineering organisation that provides leading products and solutions to clients within the O&G, Marine, Industrial and Renewable industries. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Test Technician for their site in West Lothian.
The Test Technician will provide mechanical testing of engineering structures and tubular components.
Responsibilities of Test Technician:

  • Testing of products in development and existing products from concept through to production
  • Testing commercial products to client and in-house specifications
  • Help with preparation and compilation of trials and test procedures, technical data analysis and final reports as required
  • Assembly of full-scale test rigs, conducting tests and monitoring of data P.C. equipment during tests
  • Compile daily Log sheets of testing activities conducted
  • Application of strain monitoring instrumentation, calibrations, installations, and P.C. monitoring of data acquisition systems
  • UKAS – Work to standards set out in ISO 17025 to ensure ongoing accreditation

Qualifications required:

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
