Overview
We are currently looking for Machine Operators to work for a drinks manufacturer in the Bradford area.
Working as part of a team to own the manufacturing process and deliver the key performance objectives in the QCDSP framework while maintaining the operational plant in the Ingredients Processing Centre.
Job Details
Hours: 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am
Shifts: Continental shift pattern which involves working days, nights and weekends
Pay: £15.87 per hour
Overtime rates: Up to £24.42 per hour
Duration: Temporary ongoing long-term, permanent opportunities available
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding and low-level correction, pump and valve isolation.
- MES SCADA error management, chemical handling and awareness.
- Mechanical maintenance basic level (AM).
- System auditing and reporting.
- Performing dynamic risk assessments.
- Compilation of Standard Operating procedures.
- Project team involvement and delivery as required.
- Continuous improvement of plant and process.
- Ensure the accurate transfer and consumption of raw materials between onsite storage locations, using FIFO, batch management principles and utilising the site IT system.
- Manufacture syrups using standard recipes, utilising the Manufacturing Execution Systems and SCADA systems.
- Train and support team development in the creation and use of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Utilise the MES and SCADA system to monitor the operational plant and resolve any error logs/system faults, compile fault log.
- Own and deliver key performance objectives using the QCDSP manufacturing framework and sustain plant performance using appropriate Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Maintain the hygiene standards of the Ingredient Process Centre using 5S principles.
- Control the cleaning of downstream equipment liaising with external manufacturing team leaders.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- Experience of using manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- 5S and BIT trained (or equivalent NVQ qualification to Level II).
- Food awareness and hygiene certified.
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office).
- Autonomous maintenance – basic mechanical skills.
