Service Care Legal are looking for an experienced Adult Solicitor (3+ years PQE) to join the legal services team of a local authority in the Bedfordshire region on a permanent basis. Please find below further details with regards to the role and requirements for the role.

SALARY: £55,293 to £58,737

Please note that this would be hybrid working (although predominantly home-based).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on adult social care, immigration, deprivation of liberty, mental health, and human rights.
  • Prepare and manage cases for the Court of Protection, represent the Council, and liaise with external professionals.
  • Advise on special educational needs and immigration issues.
  • Monitor new legislation and case law, advising on legal implications.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years PQE (Solicitor or Legal Executive) within adult social care law
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 and related legal frameworks.
  • Experience in the Court of Protection and complex case handling.
  • Previous working experience within the public sector would be highly desirable.
