Overview
A specialist IT services provider is seeking a Senior ACI Network Consultant for a 6-month contract to support a critical customer engagement in Dublin. The role involves leading the design, deployment, and support of Cisco ACI infrastructure within a large enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on technical consulting position requiring deep knowledge of Cisco ACI, Nexus switching, and data centre networking. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and customer engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver end-to-end Cisco ACI consulting – from design workshops to implementation and optimisation
* Lead technical sessions with customer engineers and stakeholders
* Configure ACI fabric components, policies, and integrations (APIC, Nexus 9K, etc.)
* Build and test lab/simulated environments to validate architectures and resolve complex issues
* Act as an escalation point for critical troubleshooting across L2–L4
* Provide detailed documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer and best practices
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience in network consulting or data centre engineering
* Expert-level hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, including policy-based fabric architecture and APIC management
* Strong understanding of Nexus platforms, data centre networking, and multi-tenancy design
* Proven track record in customer-facing delivery roles
* Excellent troubleshooting skills in enterprise-scale environments
Desirable
* CCNP / CCDP minimum; CCIE written preferred
* Experience with Cisco Multi-Site or hybrid data centre environments
* Familiarity with automation (Ansible, Python)
* Strong consulting communication and stakeholder engagement skills
