We are a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK. Our purpose is to make every day taste better. We supply food for major supermarkets in the UK. At Manton Wood, we have a team of around 1,700 colleagues, producing sandwiches and wraps for major retailers. The site offers facilities such as a gym, restaurant with hot food, and a staff shop.
What You\βll Be Doing
Our Hygiene team work to extremely high standards and are integral to the running of Greencore. Tasks include the following:
- Carry out all hygiene tasks required by the hygiene rota in each assigned area
- Prepare and be responsible for cleaning equipment used for hygiene duties
- Maintain, replenish and be accountable for stocks of cleaning materials
- Be conversant with operation and care of mechanical cleaning equipment used in hygiene duties
- Be conversant with safe preparation, handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Be conversant with GMP and hygiene standards (MCA and FDA requirements)
- Carry out hygiene tasks according to written procedures and ensure log books entries are completed
- Ensure all areas are kept clean and free of debris
What We\βre Looking For
Some roles in the hygiene team may involve cleaning and re-assembling removable parts of machinery and depositors in production areas. We are looking for candidates who:
- Have good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy to meet tight deadlines
- Have good communication skills and can work as part of a team
- Have maths (Entry Level 3+) and English (Entry Level 3+); must handle chemicals and machinery safely
- Have all-round cleaning experience
- Can work on own initiative and manage time effectively
- Can communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and management
- Have knowledge of health & safety and COSHH
