Account Manager

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable Account Manager to join our team in London. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality, eager to help the world’s biggest brands grow, and capable of applying this mindset to help Adyen scale. You should be excited to work with a global, multicultural team in a collaborative manner and be a keen problem solver. Your focus will be on delivering an outstanding customer experience, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and driving mutual success for Adyen and our customers.

In this role, you’ll work on a diverse portfolio of accounts across various verticals, collaborating with talented and driven colleagues to develop customer relationships and foster growth.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Collaboration: Work closely with your team and independently manage strategic merchants.
  2. Relationship management: Build trust and long-term partnerships to reduce churn and maximize account value.
  3. Commercial acumen: Identify growth opportunities and lead discussions to help grow accounts and meet financial targets.
  4. Project management: Prioritize and manage projects across accounts, leveraging internal support as needed.
  5. Feedback: Represent the voice of the customer to improve products and merchant experience.
  6. Independence: Manage tasks proactively to meet deadlines and resolve issues efficiently.

Who You Are:

  1. Have 3-6 years of experience in a client-facing, commercial role, ideally in enterprise software, financial services, or technical infrastructure.
  2. Enjoy engaging with clients and developing strong relationships.
  3. Are a self-starter with a curious mindset, driven to leverage your knowledge for customer growth.
  4. Have a proven track record of driving growth within existing portfolios, motivated by team targets.
  5. Experienced in presenting, negotiating, and structuring complex pricing models.
  6. Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a drive to improve team efficiency.
  7. Proficient in professional written and verbal English; additional languages are a plus.
