We are seeking a dedicated, fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Aylesbury, a CATEGORY C & 18 plus male prison.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Facilities Maintenance Team to keep electrical systems in safe, compliant condition.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team (Plumbers, other Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators) to deliver a safe and secure environment.
- Support planned and preventive maintenance operations.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements and ensure quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
- Two years\’ experience as a fully qualified electrician
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
