Location: Oakham
Pay: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (Overtime Available)
Additional Pay: Yearly Bonus

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and experienced Bench Hand Joiner, Cabinet Maker, or Furniture Maker to join a well-established and growing furniture manufacturer. With over 30 years of proven success in producing high-quality bespoke furniture, this business offers a stable, rewarding role within a team of experienced craftsmen.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with premium materials, and has a genuine passion for traditional joinery and bespoke craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret detailed technical drawings to create bespoke furniture
Assemble timber components and complete units with accuracy and care
Operate woodworking machinery including Routers, Edge Banders, Planers, and Table Saws, while adhering to all Health & Safety regulations
Select appropriate materials to ensure consistent quality and visual appeal
Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure high standards are met
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Collaborate with the workshop team to meet production schedules and deadlinesRequirements:
Minimum 5 years\’ experience in a joinery or cabinet-making role
Proficient in the use of both hand and power tools (routers, sanders, drills, etc.)
Strong understanding of wood types and their characteristics
Ability to confidently read and work from technical drawings
Excellent craftsmanship and keen attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt on the job
Able to work independently or as part of a teamPreferred:
