We are seeking a dedicated Handyperson to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male adult prison.
Join a team that works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Bullingdon operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of the facility, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
As a Handyperson, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical, time-bound services to HMPPS. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a prison environment
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Previous experience in building fabric / Hard FM environment
- Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
