My client, a Transport company based in Worcester is looking to recruit a Transport Planner on a Permanent basis.

You will support the Transport Manager in the day-to-day functions of running the Transport Operation, stepping into the Managers role when he is off-site.
The main responsibilities of the role include
– Plan and schedule multi-drop deliveries across the UK
– Work closely with warehouse team to meet delivery deadlines
– Monitor vehicle movements using tracking system
– Manage driver route-plans
– Work closely with in-house customer service team to manage deliveries
– Ensure legal compliance on all drive/transport legislation
– Manage issues as they arise
– Implement any cost savings where possible
As a suitable candidates you will offer the following
– previous experience in a similar role with multi-drop deliveries
– Good geographical knowledge of the UK
– A strong personality who is able to manage different personalities across the transport team
– Methodical and diligent with your paperwork
– Good IT skills including Traffic Management System(TMS) and EXCEL
– Excellent knowledge of Driver Compliance and Transport Legislation
– An ability to prioritize workload
This role is Mon-Fri from (Apply online only) but some flexibility may be required during holiday and sickness
The salary on offer is up to £37,500
