Electrician – Live Wire Testing – Birmingham, B30 1JR. 3 Vacancies. 6 Month + Contract: Mon to Fri 8:30 – 17:30 with potential for further work.
About the Company
The company is a leading electrical contractor specialising in prestigious commercial, industrial installations and maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrician to join the company, supporting live wire testing works in commercial and industrial buildings throughout the Midlands and occasionally across other parts of the UK.
Duties
- As a suitably qualified and experienced electrician you will be working on a variety of sites across Birmingham and the Midlands, testing the live electrical supply into commercial and industrial buildings.
- Primary duties will be working alongside an electrical technician assisting with and compiling condition reports whilst testing the live electrical feeds into the building.
- Experience of this type of electrical works would be an advantage but full training will be given.
- Due to the nature of the work and the environment in which you\\\’ll be working, you need to be fully qualified to NVQ level 3 including AM2 or equivalent.
This role will include occasionally working away from home during the week with accommodation in Travel Lodge or Premier Inn hotels provided by the company.
About You
- Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 1JR.
- Demonstrable experience of commercial electrical installations with a strong electrical core engineering background is essential for this role.
- Minimum NVQ level 3 including AM2 or equivalent or JIB Graded electrician.
- Testing and inspection 2391 or equivalent would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Full UK driving license.

In return for your experience you will receive a salary in line with the JIB rates of £19.32PAYE and £20.38PAYE or £25.66CIS and £27.06CIS per hour along with travel time, mileage allowance and a range of benefits associated with a market leading organisation.
