A key contractor operating across multiple UK water frameworks is looking to engage experienced Repair & Maintenance Operatives or Teams to support ongoing clean water network works on the United Utilities and Northumbrian Water frameworks.

This is a contract role running through to the end of 2025, ideal for operatives or small civils teams with proven experience in utility reinstatement, clean water mains and service repair work.

Locations:

  • Various sites across the North West (United Utilities region)
  • North East coverage for Northumbrian Water
  • Teams must be mobile and comfortable working across the framework area
  • Vans/fuel allowances or company vehicles available depending on setup
  • Job Title: Repair & Maintenance Operative / Gang
  • Frameworks: United Utilities / Northumbrian Water
  • Contract Type: Freelance / Ltd Company / Umbrella
  • Duration: Through to end of 2025
  • Rates: Competitive day rates (DOE, team setups negotiable)

Scope of Works:

  • Emergency and planned repairs to clean water mains and services
  • Dig-down, repair and reinstatement
  • Working to client specifications and standards

Candidate / Team Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on water utility frameworks essential
  • NRSWA (Operative or Supervisor)
  • CPCS or NPORS for plant (Dumper, Excavator) beneficial
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Teams must include a competent lead and reinstatement capability (tarmac/concrete)

About the Client:

This is a long-term delivery partner on both the United Utilities and Northumbrian Water frameworks. With a healthy pipeline of work and multiple live patches, they are now scaling up their contract delivery teams with proven operatives and gangs who can work to high standards with minimal supervision.
