Exciting Opportunity for Experienced NRSWA Inspector in Leicester An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NRSWA Inspector to join a busy client in the Leicester area. As the experienced NRSWA Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that street works and road works carried out by utility companies, contractors, and other third parties comply with NRSWA regulations, local authority standards, and safety requirements. You will monitor and inspect works, identify non-compliance, and ensure that remedial actions are taken to minimize disruption to the public and maintain the integrity of the highway network. The main duties of the NRSWA Inspector are: ·Conduct regular site inspections of street works and road works within the local authority area to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and related regulations. ·Monitor the quality of reinstatements, ensuring they meet required standards for durability and safety. ·Ensure works are carried out within agreed timescales and to a high standard, minimizing disruption to the public. ·Work closely with utility companies, contractors, and internal council departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration on street works and road works projects. ·Maintain accurate records of inspections, including photographs, reports, and compliance documentation. ·Report on the progress of street works and any issues encountered to the Highways Manager. ·Contribute to the preparation of reports and documentation for senior management, providing insights and recommendations on improving compliance and minimizing disruption. The NRSWA Inspector will have key experience in: ·Full UK driving license. ·NRSWA Supervisor qualification. ·Proven experience in inspecting street works or road works, ideally within a local authority or highways environment. ·Strong knowledge of NRSWA regulations, codes of practice, and traffic management principles. ·Experience in issuing defect notices and enforcing compliance with NRSWA. ·Proficient in the use of relevant IT systems for record-keeping and reporting.
