Company Description Carters Flooring is a nationwide flooring contractor based in Derbyshire. As a family-run business, we have been delivering top-quality flooring installations for over 35 years to some of the leading companies in the leisure industry. Our expertise spans a range of sectors, including holiday parks, boutique hotels, retail units, hotel chains, gyms, casinos, and bingo halls. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as a Flooring Estimator at Carters Flooring Limited in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We are seeking a friendly, well-organized individual with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward tackling challenges and solving problems to effectively manage tasks and meet deadlines. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control measures and the ability to produce precise estimates that align with project specifications and budgets. The ideal candidate should be able to efficiently and accurately quantify, plan, and provide flooring quotations on time, using both our own measurements and customer drawings. Experience in the flooring industry preferable, but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right applicant. Qualifications Knowledge of various types of flooring materials and installation techniques Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate measurements and cost estimation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients Detail-oriented and organized approach to project estimation and management Experience in the flooring industry or a related field is preferred, but not essential Ability to work well in a team and independently to meet project deadlines Visiting sites to take accurate flooring measurements.
