Locum Biomedical Scientists required in Liverpool
We are seeking dedicated Biomedical Scientists to join the MedicsPro Team! The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities at one of our clients\’ busy NHS Hospitals in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform, interpret, and validate a wide range of investigations in line with laboratory
- protocols.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality
- standards and Health & Safety policies.
- Contribute to the training, mentoring, and supervision of junior staff.
- Support the implementation of new techniques, procedures, and service improvements.
- Accurately record, analyse, and report results using LIMS and other relevant systems.
- Participate in Rota duties, including out-of-hours, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Qualifications:
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Strong experience in molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, nucleic
- acid sequencing NGS and PCR/qPCR.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous NHS experience in a laboratory setting
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
