Role: Lathe Turner Machinist
Location: Aldridge
Rate: £18.00 – £18.50 per hour
Working hours: Dayshift: Monday to Thursday – either 6am to 4pm OR 7am to 5pm.

Job Summary
The company are now seeking a skilled Lathe Turner Machinist to join the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be experienced working with large parts and be responsible for operating vertical boring machines to produce precision components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment. The right candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
Duties
Operate vertical boring machines to perform machining operations on various materials.
Assemble components and fabricate parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Utilise hand tools and tooling equipment to ensure accurate machining processes.
Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise.
Perform materials handling tasks, including the movement of heavy components within the warehouse.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for machining tasks.
Work with logic controllers to monitor and adjust machine settings as required.
