Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Wireman on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Wireman:
Produce wiring harnesses from scratch using detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards.
Analyse and reconstruct existing wiring harnesses for repair or reproduction.
Visit customer sites to troubleshoot and repair wiring harnesses, including those already installed in engines or equipment.
Work on wiring solutions for diverse sectors such as railway systems, defence (MOD), heavy-duty machinery, and automotive vehicles.
Inspect and test harnesses to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate records of work, including designs, revisions, and testing results.
Skills and Qualifications for the Wireman:
Experience in wiring harness manufacturing and repair, including familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring configurations.
Skilled in using hand tools and machinery for wiring tasks.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on precision and quality.
Willingness to travel to customer sites when needed.
