Job Description
Job Title: Extrusion Setter
Location: West Bromwich
Pay Range/details: Competitive + shift allowance
Contract Type: Permanent
Omega are supporting a leader in electrical, safety, and infrastructure solutions, in their search for an Extrusion Setter on a day shift. The right Extrusion Setter will focus on setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machines, particularly in the plastics or flexible plastics industry. Some responsibilities include ensuring the machinery is properly set up to produce high-quality extruded products according to specifications, monitoring the production process, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. There are different shifts available with this role.
Key Responsibilities – Extrusion Setter
- Set and operate Corrugation Extrusion machines.
- Maintain tools, including cleaning.
- Take responsibility for inspection of incoming and outgoing parts and materials.
- Keep production and quality related records up to date.
- Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area.
- Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
- Day Shift: Hours of work will be 48 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 6am- 6pm.
- Rotating Shift: Hours of work will be 48 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 6pm- 6pm or 6am – 6pm (Fortnightly rotation).
Qualifications & Requirements – Extrusion Setter
- Good knowledge of setting and running extrusion corrugation machines.
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards.
