The Associates are looking for an experienced PowerBI developer analyst who has excellent experience in working in a client facing position. You will be responsible for extracting, analysing, and interpreting data to generate comprehensive reports and insights and must have a background in creating the framework for Self-serve reporting in a global organisation. Your core skills will require you to have excellent SQL as well as PowerBI. This experience is non negotiable and you will need to demonstrate on your CV the level of SQL experience you have. The office is based near to Reading should you wish to visit site. You will most likely be in the office between once a week and twice a month. Your key responsibilities include: * Managing ad-hoc data extraction and transformation requests to support business needs for data visibility. * Support a new initiative for business self-serve analytics with the provision of common comprehensive and re-usable datasets. * Provision of visuals in Power BI to meet business reporting requirements. * Strong working knowledge of technologies including SQL, Azure and Databricks to compile underlying data models to support reporting. * Support the ingestion process and scheduling of source raw data tables into the data warehouse. * Liaison with the business and SAP Data Architect to understand data requirements for extraction in preparation for reporting. * Support the business with any general reporting issues, queries and management of enhancement requests. * Maintenance and creation of key documentation to support BI and the reporting catalogue. * Provide training and support to end-users on report generation and utilization of Power BI as a global reporting solution. Your skill set * Proven experience working with Power BI. * Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation. * Background in developing data cubes (SQL DW) to support self-serve reporting. Must have been involved with requirements, design, build, deployment and training. * Experience working with SAP systems, specifically in reporting and data analysis. This does not have to be in depth SAP knowledge * Exposure to Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Databricks. * Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate meaningful insights. * Proven ability to document business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and provide clear, simple business user guides. * Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality. * Great communicator with ability to present complex problems in a simple manner and to a non-technical audience. * Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. * Highly self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently
