Location – Lancashire

Hours – Continental shifts, Monday to Friday, covering both days and nights (6.45am-7pm / 6.45pm -7am). Week 1 circa 45 hours and week 2 circa 33.75 hours

Salary – DOE

Company:

Established over 30 years ago this company is BRC-certified and serve as an approved food packaging supplier to major UK and international brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating both manual and semi-automatic machines, including 4-colour stack presses and an 8-colour CI press
Monitoring machinery output to meet and exceed production targets
Identifying and resolving print issues
Conducting shift handovers to ensure smooth production transitions, including briefing the next shift and checking machinery
Optimising changeovers while maintaining health, safety, and quality standards
Mounting print plates and colour matching as needed
Following lean manufacturing practices, including SMED and 5S principles
Maintaining a clean, safe work environment by addressing spills immediately and promoting safety

Candidate Requirements:

Preferably have experience of Flexographic Printer, specifically Carrera/ Uteco Stack Presses and 8 colour Windmoller Astraflex. However, if you don\’t have this they would consider someone with basic Print Room knowledge.
Must have experience in print
NVQ in Print (desirable but not essential)
High attention to detail and meticulous approach
Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills
Excellent time-keeping and attendance
