Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Islington Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Principal Investigator this role will be N1 1XR Hybrid – Office attendance to conduct interviews/meetings The right candidate will: Our small and friendly Internal Audit Investigations (IAI) team seeks a high-calibre candidate to provide interim support to deliver reactive and proactive fraud investigations (including whistleblowing investigations). * To assist the Head of Internal Audit (HIA) and the Audit Manager Investigations (AMI) to implement the Council’s Anti-Fraud Strategy and Whistleblowing Policy, by undertaking proactive and reactive fraud investigations promptly and to a high standard. * To protect the Council from fraud, corruption and irregularity by assisting the HIA and AMI to deliver an efficient and effective fraud investigation service * To deliver a portion of the Council’s proactive anti-fraud plan to a high standard. * To undertake reactive investigations promptly and to a high standard, including complex, cross-cutting investigations. * Investigate whistleblowing investigations, including complex whistleblowing investigations with multiple disclosures. * To exercise discretion and maintain confidential…
