Outside IR35 – 3 month initial contract

We are seeking a Development Trimmer to join an innovative design company where drawings and designs become reality! Join a team of experts based in Warwick on a Contract Basis (Outside IR35).

Are you an experienced Development Trimmer looking to utilise your skills and experience working on some of the most innovative designs within the automotive industry?

What will a day-to-day look like as a Development Trim Technician?

Working on innovative projects, set to change the future of the automotive industry, you will join a team of experts in Warwick on an initial 12-week contract (Outside IR35) to create a one-of-a-kind vehicle from design concept to prototype glory!

Step away from the standard and jump in to an intuitive approach to vehicle trim development, working to create one-of-a-kind interiors. Working with a range of materials including leather, the Development Trimmer will be confident in patten making, trimming, sewing and stitching to create flawless interiors including headliners, steering wheels, load spaces, panel trim, instrument panels and seating as well as assisting in the fitting of interiors to ensure a flawless finish and ensuring high quality is found in each stitch.

The duties and responsibilities of a Development Trim Technician:

  • Trim development working to individual vehicles bespoke requirements
  • Pattern making and development of bespoke trim
  • Cutting of materials including Leather
  • Machine sewing and hand stitching (baseball, euro stitch)
  • Rework and fit vehicle interior trim to achieve world class fit and finish standards.
  • Perform bench modification and trim fitment to flawless finish.
  • Follow customer specifications, working to strict quality requirements.

The ideal Development Trimmer:

  • Must have extensive hands-on experience of automotive trimming and upholstery development.
  • Experience working with Leather, Alcantara, Cloth and a wider range of natural and synthetic soft materials.
  • Must have experience working with high-value or prototype vehicles.
  • Expert level sewing machinist, covering assembly and decorative stitch and development stitching.

Working hours for the Development Trim Technician team:

37.5 hours per week (Flexible approach to weekly hours), plus the opportunity for overtime
