School Support Worker – Special Educational needs

Are you a caring and adaptable individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with diverse needs? GSL Education is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Workers in Redditch!

The SEN school caters to a wide range of needs, providing a nurturing environment for students with various challenges. They support students with physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism (ASC), moderate learning difficulties (LD), including dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as those with sight and hearing impairments, and Down syndrome.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalised care for students with physical disabilities, including assistance with feeding, changing, and support with mobility.
Support students with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) in their educational and personal development.
Assist students with autism (ASC) in their communication and social interaction.
Provide support for students with moderate learning difficulties (LD) such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with sight and hearing impairments.
Foster a nurturing environment for students with Down syndrome, promoting their overall well-being.
