With a strong presence in the UK water sector and clients ranging from utilities and contractors to government agencies, they also export globally. All manufacturing is UK-based, with a dedicated team of approximately 60 staff on-site.

The Role

We\’re seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position. This is a workshop-based role ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical assembly of engineered components (pre-final assembly)

Bolting and aligning iron components

Grinding using hand tools

Conducting hydrostatic pressure testing

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Mechanical assembly or fitting background

Good understanding of hand tools and workshop practices

Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

Pump experience is not essential – training will be provided

Package:

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 08:15–16:45; Friday, 08:15–13:45 (37.5 hours/week)

Pay: £15.38 per hour / Equivalent to £30,000 annually

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
