We are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at a specialist school for children and young people aged 4–16 with autism and severe learning difficulties (SLD) in Hackney

This is a full-time position working in a highly supportive, inclusive environment where the focus is on personalised, high-quality education and meaningful progress for every pupil.

You will be:

Supporting or delivering teaching across a range of developmental levels (EYFS to KS4)
Working closely with experienced SEN professionals, therapists, and family support teams
Helping pupils develop communication, independence, and emotional regulation
Engaging with an autism-specific curriculum, tailored to meet individual needs
Contributing to a school community that values creativity, nurture, and inclusive practice

Candidates must be proactive, patient, and motivated by a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children with complex needs. Prior SEN experience is highly desirable, but full training is provided, and we welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills.
