Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven and technically adept Product Owner to lead the development of innovative applications and portals designed to enhance association member services, increase eCommerce conversions, and promote access to industry expert market intelligence.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and user experience, and will work closely with software engineers, UX designers, business stakeholders, and marketing teams to define and deliver digital solutions that provide exceptional value to our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with organizational goals for membership engagement, digital commerce, and content delivery.
- Maintain a deep understanding of member needs, market trends, and business drivers.
- Translate business requirements into detailed product epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Own, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for multiple digital platforms, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Partner closely with software engineers and designers throughout the agile development lifecycle
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity of objectives and trade-offs.
- Translate business needs and strategic goals into actionable technical requirements, architectural considerations, and functional designs, ensuring clarity and alignment with technical capabilities.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure product performance, track eCommerce conversion rates, and identify areas for improvement.
- Iterate and refine features based on feedback and KPIs, ensuring a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborate with research and marketing teams to surface authoritative market insights through user-friendly digital experiences.
- Lead initiatives to integrate and enhance access to expert-driven content for member value and industry leadership.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a technical environment.
- Proven track record of delivering web applications or digital portals
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working directly with software development teams.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with APIs, CRM integrations, and third-party data platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or with associations, non-profits, or membership-based organizations
- Knowledge of UX best practices and user research.
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics dashboards.
