Job Description
Junior Motion Designer – Advertising Production Agency – Up to £25,000 pa
We’re working with a brilliant, medium sized advertising creative production agency who specialise in the global ad campaigns for Movie and Film titles. The agency produces everything from big OOH advertising work for both print, digital as well as animated / video based work. They are now on the lookout for a Junior Motion Designer to join their talented Digital Studio in a fast paced role where you can learn and develop.
As a Junior Motion Designer on the team, you’ll start by working heavily on localisation output piecing together video files with provided end cards to deliver assets to spec. You’ll help to bring campaigns to life across digital OOH animations, living one sheets and for other formats. You’ll be repurposing and reformatting content for a variety of platforms, whilst honing your motion skills as part of a supportive and collaborative team. You’ll get stuck into versioning for high profile movie / film advertising work whilst building up your After Effects knowledge and shadowing the Seniors on more complex jobs.
As a Junior Motion Designer, you’ll also get the opportunity to show a lot of flare whilst working on the agencies monthly showreel. You’ll have more freedom to demonstrate both your creative ideas and technical knowhow on this monthly brief where you will be able to select content, design and edit to show what you can do.
The idea candidate will be someone who loves Motion Graphics and is really passionate about their work. You don’t need commercial experience but should ideally have an understanding of techniques like Rotoscoping, Motion Tracking, Compositing, using colour correction tools and scripting tools and the difference when working in 8 bit and 16 bit.

- A Motion Designer with a passion for entertainment and a strong grasp of After Effects
- A solid understanding of the broader Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop and Illustrator
- Familiarity with 3D Software such as Cinema 4D or Maya would be a plus
- Premiere Pro knowledge is a bonus
- Close attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Repurposing and compositing supplied Trailers and other Video / Content into required formats
- Working heavily on localisation, producing digital / video output for various markets to spec
- Creating animated compositions in After Effects and learning to use relevant plugins
- Delivering final files to spec under tight deadlines
- Sourcing creative assets from various libraries and delivering engaging and high quality showreels to display the agencies work from that month.
