Essential and Desirable Criteria: We are looking for a female Support worker (Under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1: general occupational requirements) we only require Female candidates at the present time. Passionate, dynamic women who want to help the people we support to lead fulfilled lives and must also be able to maintain the high standard of care expected within one of our schemes. Compassionate, kind women who have a genuine interest in and commitment to caring for people with learning/physical disabilities and mental health issues. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous experience as a support worker, carer, or healthcare assistant preferred but not essential as full training and support is provided. Full driving licence desirable but not essential. ** Support2Independence is not able to offer sponsorship/work visas to applicants ** Main duties and responsibilities: You will work as part of a close-knit team, based in one of our schemes assisting the service users in a homely environment. You will supply 24/7 care on a rolling rota – covering early, late, weekend shifts and wake night shifts where applicable. You will have a pivotal role in an individual’s care team, supporting them to help maximise independence, and give them the opportunity to live life to the fullest. You will help service users participate in social and recreational community-based activities. You will support individuals in their daily activities for example by accompanying them to appointments and on outings. You will ensure all records are up-to-date and accurate. You will monitor and report changes in behaviour or health related matters. You will help to maintain a safe and clean environment for the service users.
