MDE is recruiting a project manager to work for an independent engineering company specialising in high-voltage design, build, and commissioning solutions for the energy sector.
As project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects, including substations, grid connections, and balance of plant systems.
You will manage turnkey solutions, ensuring the successful design, construction, and commissioning of containerised substations, protection panels, and other critical components. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with design teams, supervising contractors, liaising with clients to align project goals, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards. Additionally, they provide guidance on connection applications, support power system studies, and oversee optimisation efforts, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, construction, and operation of electrical infrastructure projects.
- Manage connections and installations, including civil and electrical works.
- Ensure safe and efficient project delivery across design, build, and maintenance phases.
- Coordinate procurement, logistics, and testing.
- Perform site assessments and prepare detailed reports.
