Henstridge | £12.21 per hour plus shift allowance | Full time | Permanent | Onsite
Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment? Acorn by Synergie is working with a well-established manufacturer in Henstridge to find skilled operators to join their team across day, late, and night shifts.
About the Role:
As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process, operating a variety of manual and CNC machinery, including lathes and drill presses. You'll be responsible for setting up machines, reading and interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring the quality of all products. This is a hands-on, technical role that requires a high level of precision and focus.
Main Activities:
- Operate manual and CNC-based machinery including lathes and drill presses.
- Read engineering drawings and make machine adjustments as required.
- Band, palletise, and prepare products for loading.
- Follow material processing requirements and tolerances.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure product standards are met.
- Report machine faults or issues to the supervisor.
- Operate forklifts to load and off-load machines.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Core Requirements:
- Experience operating manual and CNC-based machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
- FLT (Forklift) experience beneficial.
