Job Description
Miryco Consultants are partnering with a high-performing syndicate to find a commercially minded Pricing Actuary who will help support and evolve the actuarial function across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified actuary with a strong background in pricing and exposure to reserving and capital modelling to take the next step in their career, working closely with senior stakeholders including underwriters, finance leaders and the Chief Actuary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain pricing models across the syndicate and MGA operations.
- Ensure models align with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
- Enhance pricing infrastructure and data capabilities, including tools for rate monitoring and performance analysis.
- Conduct pricing assessments for complex or bespoke risks.
- Collaborate with underwriters and become a trusted strategic partner.
- Feed into reserving and capital modelling activities with line-of-business insight.
- Provide input into business planning, contributing pricing analysis and strategy.
- Support various actuarial projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Around 5 years’ actuarial experience in the London Market, ideally within a Lloyd’s environment.
- Deep understanding of pricing methodologies for general insurance.
- Familiarity with reserving techniques and capital modelling frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Confident working with MGA binder arrangements (beneficial).
- Experience managing projects from inception to delivery.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and deliver to tight timelines with precision.
- A collaborative mindset – capable of building relationships across underwriting, finance, compliance and other areas.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
- Fellowship or near-Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
- Solid grasp of Lloyd’s market structures and the relevant regulatory landscape.
- Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with tools such as Access, Sequel, and Remetrica is advantageous.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and communicate findings clearly and persuasively.
- Experience contributing at committee or governance level is a plus.

Salary: £80,000 – £100,000
