Ground Worker/Pipe layer Epsom, Surrey £19.00 per hour Ongoing Monday to Friday 9.5 hour day Zeal Recruitment are working with a well-known Civil Engineering business who are looking for a a Pipelayer and pipe mate, to work on a residential project in Epsom on an ongoing basis; for the right person. As the Ground Worker you will be reporting the Project Manager • Coordinating and working within your team • Ensuring work is carried out safely • The range of work will include Earthworks, muckaway, drainage, kerbing • Ensure all minor and major construction work is completed in accordance with the required specification and standards. • Assess the correct approach to carry out tasks in a safe and effective manner, erect and remove appropriate safety signs and barriers in accordance with the Code of Practice, Health and Safety and other relevant legislation. • Use all materials in accordance with safe working practices, including manual handling and the COSHH regulations. • Wear the uniform/PPE at all times to ensure personal safety and to promote the partnership. • Reschedule work disrupted due to unforeseen circumstances, such as access, underground cables and inclement weather. • Maintain good working relationships with the general public and clients. • Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote the service and enhance and improve service delivery. • Complete accurate work record sheets in accordance with agreed administration procedures. • Complete all jobs within set performance targets and arrange work schedules to meet deadline completion dates.
