Job Description

We are TXP. We help businesses and organisations move forward, at pace and at scale. We believe in the transformative power of combining technology and people. By providing consulting expertise, development services and resourcing, we work closely with organisations to solve their most complex business problems.

Our work transforms organisations – and we take that responsibility seriously. We focus on success, pursue excellence and take ownership of everything we do.

But achieving that level of performance requires an inclusive and supportive working environment.

We believe in the power of technology and people, and we help everyone here to succeed. At TXP, you can multiply your potential.

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Security Architect to work with our public sector clients, providing governance and strengthening their security infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in both technical and stakeholder-facing capacities. You will act as a trusted security SME, influencing architectural decisions, managing senior stakeholder expectations, and driving alignment between business objectives and security strategy. This hybrid role involves travelling twice a week to meet with clients and to our Birmingham or London offices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver security architecture services aligned with TOGAF and SABSA frameworks.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on secure cloud architecture (Azure, AWS)
  • Lead the design and implementation of SIEM tools (e.g., Azure Sentinel, Splunk).
  • Architect enterprise DLP solutions, including Varonis and Microsoft Purview.
  • Support organisations in defining their security architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment to business and IT strategy
  • Support infrastructure architecture including backup, archive, and XDR implementation.
  • Embed governance and risk management practices across the programme.
  • Develop and maintain security reference architectures and patterns.
  • Align with national cyber frameworks such as the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
  • Drive secure-by-design principles across all technology workstreams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective incident response and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborate with our Sales & Pre-Sales teams to provide technical input into proposals.
  • Mentor, coach and support architects in the wider architecture team in security best practices.
  • Promote a culture in TXP and our clients of security awareness.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working within a professional services or technology consultancy.
  • Experience working in Pharmaceuticals is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of security architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA).
  • Experience with SIEM platforms (Azure Sentinel, Splunk).
  • Deep understanding of enterprise DLP systems and data protection strategies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security tools including Purview, MCAS, MDI.
  • Strong governance and risk management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.

Benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • An additional day of paid leave for your birthday (or Christmas eve)
  • Salary sacrifice, matched employer contributed pension (4%)
  • Life assurance (3x)
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Private medical insurance through our partner Aviva.
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Corporate eye-care vouchers
  • Access to an independent financial advisor
  • 2 x social value days per year to give back to local communities.
