Job Title: Business Systems Manager
Location: Remote/Wilmslow
Hours of work: 09:00 – 17:30 or in line with business needs
Overview:
The Business Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the ongoing delivery and optimization of all business systems within the organization. This includes working closely with senior leaders to prioritize and deliver initiatives that support the company's strategic goals. The role also involves close collaboration with the solution architecture team to shape and integrate solutions across various systems. The Business Systems Manager will manage a team of developers and administrators and oversee relationships with third-party engineering partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers and administrators across various business systems.
- Oversee the work of third-party engineering partners, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
- Strategic Planning & Prioritization:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business objectives and prioritize system enhancements and new initiatives across all business systems.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for business systems improvements aligned with company strategy and goals.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and monitor projects related to all business systems, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Define project goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Manage project risks and issues, providing solutions and ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Systems Development & Optimization:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of solutions and integrations across multiple business systems.
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Implement best practices for system development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Collaboration with Solution Architecture:
- Work closely with the solution architecture team to design and implement integrations between business systems.
- Ensure seamless integration and data flow across various platforms, supporting business processes and improving efficiency.
- Provide input and guidance on system architecture and integration strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for business systems initiatives, communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide updates to senior leaders on project progress and system performance.
- Gather and analyze feedback from users to continuously improve system functionality and user experience.
Operational Excellence:
- Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring optimal operation and uptime for all business systems.
- Implement and enforce data governance and security protocols.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, optimizing costs and maximizing value.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business systems management, with experience across various platforms and systems.
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with senior leadership, managing third-party vendors, and collaborating with solution architecture teams.
