Full Time Permanent Role
We are looking for an ambitious Solicitor to join Talbots and assist the growth of our Criminal Department in the Coventry area. To be successful, you will have qualified experience of working in a similar role within a fast-paced Criminal Law Department.
As a Solicitor will be expected to undertake a variety of criminal litigation work on behalf of private and commercial clients and develop this department by networking, strengthening existing client relationships and winning new business.

What the job involves:
- Managing a full caseload of both Police Station and Magistrates’ Court cases as well as being added to duty rotas for both Magistrates’ Court and Police stations.
- Drafting reviewing, amending and issuing legal documentation including utilising our case management system.
- Supporting colleagues within the department as well as liaising with existing and new clients.
What you need:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, with experience of working in a similar role within a fast-paced Criminal Law Department;
- Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of the Criminal Law transaction process, from inception to completion;
- Desirable to hold higher rights to be able to attend hearings at the Crown Court but not essential.
- Be detail-driven, have excellent communication skills and be a motivated & organised team-player.
